George Pasiuk, 84 years of age, passed away on July 9, 2024 at Hudson Valley Hospital.
He was born on June 16, 1940 in Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Germany to the late Anna and Gregory Pasiuk. He was the oldest of 6 children. George was married to the late Helen Pasiuk on June 14,1969 and three children were born from that union. He is survived by his 3 children Gregory Pasiuk (and wife Laurel), Andrea Pasiuk (and husband Richard) and Nicholas Pasiuk; 4 grandchildren, Kyle, Hayllie, Ethan and Matthew and 1 great granddaughter Audrey.
George Pasiuk proudly served as a Marine and remained an active member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), Ukrainian American Veterans and American Legion throughout his life.
Sensei Pasiuk dedicated over 60 years of his life to the martial art and sport of judo, leaving an indelible mark through his multifaceted involvement as a practitioner, coach, referee, tournament director and volunteer. His impact on the sport and the lives he touches will be felt for generations to come.
Wake Service is at Jarema Funeral Home, 129 E. 7th St., New York, NY 10009 on Sunday, July 14, 2024, between 3-8 p.m. with a service at 6:00 P.M.
